Ally the Di-Rat-ctor spent ten years in the Australian Public Service. She helped to recruit executives and got deeply familiar with all that’s involved in filling vacancies.

Ally’s been through the maze of job applications too, both for herself and when helping others. Whether it’s written applications or panel interviews, she’s been there (with a pretty good hit-rate, too).

Since leaving the public service, Ally works as a scribe (notetaker) to support panel interviews. She’s seen firsthand what recruiters look for. She also knows how hard it is to champion yourself in the way the public service requires.
